  • ¾ cup rice
  • ¼ cup moong dal
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • Cumin, black pepper
  • Ginger, curry leaves
  • Cashews

Method

    Dry-roast moong dal; pressure-cook with rice till soft and mushy.

    Temper cumin, pepper, ginger, cashews, curry leaves in ghee.

    Fold tempering into the pongal.
